Christmas Poem

I like to wish everyone read this "Merry Christmas" and a very blessed 2010. I will also like to share this poem with you, which I feel is rather meaningful during this time of the season.

New Christmas Poem

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED
A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
'SANTA DON'T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS.'

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, 'CARRY ON SANTA,
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE.'

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
'MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,!
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.'

Winning is a Habit

Why do some people achieve their goals consistently? It is because they have made winning a habit.

I remember once someone ask me. What is your relationship with results? I couldn't answer him, because at that time I was at period of where I was lost and have no vision in life.

When we have no intention of creating results, we will fall into the category of being mediocre. Nothing wrong about that, however is that what you really want out of your life. Life is short and we only have one shot to life, give it your best and make a difference.

Therefore winning is a habit which we can cultivate. Make winning your friend, and build a relationship with results.

10 Keys Of The Passion Quotation

REDMOND, WA - JUNE 26: In this photo provided...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

If you approach life with passion and intensity, you will turbocharge the Law of Attraction to benefit you in ways you could never have imagined. Can this be true?

The top 10 reasons why passionate people are able to turbocharge the Law of Attraction in their lives are:

1) Passion Flames Focused Action.

Not all action results in positive outcomes. But any action is better than no action. Any action you take bridges the gap between the spiritual and the physical. Like a laser beam, action focused action concentrates your activity and energy in powerful ways, which in turn accelerates your results.

2) Passion Fuels Our Desired Outcomes

When we are not passionate, we do things half heartedly and achieve mediocre results. But when we are passionate about it, we are virtually assured our our success in what we want to achieve.

3) Passion Opens The Floodgates of Creative Inspiration

Haven't you experienced this before. When you are passionate and excited about something, your mind becomes like a creative force that cannot be stopped. You develop one amazing idea after another. But when you are lackadaisical about something, nothing creative comes to mind no matter how much time you spend on it. Like resonance, passion is a higher frequency vibration that will attract more high-frequency vibrations – like creativity and ingenuity. And when the two frequencies are in harmony, you get extreme results!

4) Passion Turbocharges Your Results

Whether you’re focused on increasing your financial abundance or creating a work of art, your strong flames of passion and emotion will usually propel your results so that you achieve what you want more quickly that you would ordinarily.

5) Passion Inspires Clear Vision On The Way Ahead

Life is full of choices. Sometimes there are many paths ahead of us that we can choose. None of the paths are wrong but some paths chosen are definitely more difficult than others. Passion can help you determine the right path because it is more meaningful and important. And this results in greater clarity and insight to the way ahead.

6) Passion Keeps You Firmly In The Present

A nature of a passionate person is that they are completely immersed in what they are doing at the moment. They do not worry about the future or dwell in the past. Look at any athlete, they live for the moment they are playing. Nothing else matters. Not the past or future games. It is the next point. Not the end score. So if we can learn to focus on our current activities, we will enjoy them more and achieve more.

7) Passion - An Escape from Complaints

Instead of complaining and being unhappy about what we do not want, passion helps shift our attention to focus better on what we do want. The more we do things that we are passionate about, the less time we focus on what we do not have, the unhappy things. The negative things. And we start attracting more of the positive things!

8) Passion Means No Fear

When you are passionate about something, you will be able to block out all fears and resistance. Instead of anxiety, you are filled with an adrenaline rush when you are engaged in your passion. Enthusiasm and passion blocks out any chances of you experiencing fear or worry. This enables you to do things you never could have done.

9) Passion Extends Endurance

Just consider. How often do we spend hours and hours on what we are passionate about and still feel that time has flown right by? Working on the car, waiting for the prize catch. We easily get lost in it willingly and because of that, we accomplish much more that what we would have otherwise. This can also create more expansive results than you would otherwise receive.

10) Passion Begets Passion

The more we invest in our passion, the more chances we get to feel passionate. It is like love or any other emotion. The more we love, the more we receive love. The more we give, the more we receive. Passion begets passion and the flames will spread quickly and you will burn even brighter!

The Law of Attraction speaks about the vibrations you emit to the universe. If you emit strong emotions, like your passion, it will eventually return to you in the same or similar form. So if you want to reap what you sow, make sure your infuse whatever you do with passion and energy and just marvel when this creates a circle of love, joy and abundance in your life!

Personal Metaphor 2

Refractive phenomena, such as this rainbow, ar...Image via Wikipedia

I AM AN OAK TREE

I stand sturdy and strong.
And yet... I am flexible and can bend with the wind.... and can easily adjust to changes that life brings.
I am planted beside living waters.

My roots go deep into the fertile soil of continued learning and discovery.
I drink deeply of the waters of God's wisdom.

I spread my branches and give pleasant shade and shelter to others.
I have music in my soul.... I love the 'music' of my leaves rustling in the breeze, mingling with the melodies of bird song.....( other living beings making beautiful music with me )

I AM A RAINBOW

I am a very special bow set in the sky by God as a covenant with man.
As a Rainbow, I am personally vibrantly happy and spread good cheer as I am the combination of every beautiful colour that together make up the exquisite Rainbow.

I arch high... so high over everything and have a macro picture and overview of things.
... and best of all, there is a pot of gold at the end of my Rainbow!

The power of a Collage

I been reading that successful people like to keep mental picture to remind themselves of their dreams and goals in their life. The key purpose of doing this is to have a constant reminder for ourselves

Do you know our subconscious mind cannot differential between false and reality. Therefore feeding our mind with positive information has a definite impact to ourselves, It will program our mind and body to move towards the direction we want to go.

Recently I made myself a collage after much hesitation (as it really takes up of lot of time, as I'm not artistically incline :P) and I can say I am very proud of myself after my project is completed. Now I can see my dreams and goals right in front of me everyday.

A collage is simply a picture of your thoughts capture on printed media. Having a collage tells your mind the message that you are serious about what you are thinking, as they are not drifting thoughts but dreams that you are working on.

In addition I will also like to link anyone who has a collage. What you have to do is to post your collage in your blog and I will put your blogpost link here. Drop me a mail if you have a collage.

The Power of Self-Discipline

w:Collage of varius w:Gray's muscle pictures b...Image via WikipediaSelf-discipline is like a muscle. Every exercise of self-discipline, in any area, strengthens all your other disciplines. In Dorothea Brande’s book Wake Up and Live, she spends an entire chapter explaining how to develop your “discipline muscles.”

From getting up in the morning and making your bed immediately, through to planning and preparing each day, being punctual, keeping your word, completing your assignments on time, and following through on your commitments to yourself and others. She explains how you can train yourself to become a highly disciplined person. “Success is tons of discipline.”

The bad news is that every weakness in discipline, in any area, weakens all your other disciplines as well. They are not separable. The best part of the practice of self-discipline is that, each time you discipline yourself to do something that you know you should do, your self-esteem goes up. You like yourself more. Your self-image improves. You respect yourself more, and are more respected by others. Every act of self-discipline makes you a more confident, happier person. When you practice self-discipline regularly, in small and large matters, you feel good about yourself.

The Greatest Olympian Of Our Time

What makes Michael Fred Phelps the greatest Olympian in history?

Born in Baltimore in the US state of Maryland, Phelps – known as the Baltimore Bullet -- suffered Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a teenager and trained at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club under coach Bob Bowman, who was later an assistant coach to the US swimming team at Athens 2004.

He was a talented junior swimmer who became the youngest-ever US swimmer to compete in the Olympic Games when he represented his country at the age of 15 at the Sydney 2000 Games in the Men's 200 meters Butterfly. A few months later, at 15 years and nine months, he became the youngest man to set a swimming world record, again in the 200 meters Butterfly.

His first World Championship gold medal came in 2001, but the big breakthrough year was 2003, when Phelps won four gold medals and two silver at the World Championships in Barcelona.

At Athens 2004, Phelps extended that to six gold medals and two bronze (swimwear manufacturers Speedo offered Phelps one million dollars if he won all eight medals – an offer which has stayed on the table for Beijing 2008).

Indeed a succession of lucrative sponsorship deals meant Phelps could no longer train as an amateur, so when Bowman moved to coach at the University of Michigan in 2004, Phelps followed too and trained at a local swimming club in Ann Arbor called Club Wolverine.

Phelps has vowed not to work under any other coach than Bowman. "I don't think I would be where I am today with any other coach. He's always on top of things. We've been through a lot."

He maintained his grip as the world's No. 1 swimmer by winning four gold and two silver at the 2005 World Championships and then six gold medals at the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

The bad news for Phelps's rivals is that he hasn't lost his thirst for more titles even holding the record of 8 Olympic gold medals won in a game.

"This is something we've been preparing for over the past four years. The hard work is paying off and it's starting to show."

The Phelps Fact File

An extra degree of effort makes a difference

One More Try
One Extra Mile
One Additional Call

One degree of extra effort in business and life separates..... the good from the great.

The margin for victory between the Olympic Gold Medal and no medal at all is extremely small.

In 2004 800m race the margin of victory is just .71 secs

It's your life. You are responsible for your results

The only thing that stands between a person and what they want in life is The Will To Try It and The faith to believe it is possible

Keys to the theory of Motivation

The word “Motivation” comes from the Latin word for “to move”. It is a goal-oriented behavior. In essence, we take action because it feels good to do so. It is fine to take a break once a while, as this will make you more effective when you get back to work. The key challenge comes when instant gratification will not happen. For teenagers and young adults, it is natural for them wanting to see instant gratification than delay gratification . Their brains are still developing the ability to reason from cause to effect. In order to feel motivated, we have to tap into the part of ourselves that has a longer view, which also feels right.

Seeing the perspective

All of us make countless decisions every hour. What should I have for lunch? Which book should I read first? Should I do homework? Which person should I ask? In part, we make those decisions unconsciously based on our patterns and habits – the things we learned from our families. We also make decisions based on our personal priorities. However, if we want to redirect our decision to be able to see the perspective, we need to both shape unconscious habits and examine priorities to make sure they match. Therefore, completing the assignments between sessions is far more likely to lead to permanent change than the time spent in sessions.

Being in the Right Environment

In addition to motivating ourselves, it is important to learn being in the right environment where others can become motivated. One of the best metaphor I have come across is "Fish out of water." When a fish is out of water it will be struggling to survive, once you put it back into water it will swim freely. The key is you will be at your best in the right environment. Placing people in the right environment is the key to positive motivation.
