All Blacks Inspirational Cheer

Image via WikipediaThose who are fans of the Kiwis' "All Blacks" Ruby Team will always look forward to their "Haka-Ka Mate" Moari War Dance before every match they are play.

This is the most unusual cheer done by a competitive sports team, it is scary and fill with intensity. I guess the purpose is to scare the hell out of their opponents before the match. Nevertheless, it has become the All Blacks official trademark.

As for me watching the legendary All Black playing ruby and doing the Ka Mate before their match has been very entertaining and enjoyable.

Lance Armstrong is Back!!!

Image via Wikipedia This is not a joke!!! The 36-year-old Armstrong seven times Tour De France champion (1999-2005) is breaking out of his three-year retirement and aiming to win yet another Tour de France in 2009.

Armstrong call his comeback an attempt to raise global awareness in his fight against cancer (Anyone will need a reason to come out of retirement)

I will say this is sports biggest surprise this year. Armstrong has been accused of being a serial dater lately, I guess coming out of retirement will put the spotlight back into his sporting achievements.



Diagnosed in 1996 with testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain, doctors gave Armstrong less than a 50 percent chance of survival. Surgery and brutal cycles of chemotherapy saved his life.

From there, it was determination and powerful self-discipline that led him back to the bike and his stunning 1999 Tour win.

Despite what people say about Armstrong, he will always be a legend and inspiration to me and I will definitely be looking forward to his comeback.

What makes Michael Fred Phelps the greatest Olympian in history?

Born in Baltimore in the US state of Maryland, Phelps – known as the Baltimore Bullet -- suffered Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a teenager and trained at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club under coach Bob Bowman, who was later an assistant coach to the US swimming team at Athens 2004.

He was a talented junior swimmer who became the youngest-ever US swimmer to compete in the Olympic Games when he represented his country at the age of 15 at the Sydney 2000 Games in the Men's 200 meters Butterfly. A few months later, at 15 years and nine months, he became the youngest man to set a swimming world record, again in the 200 meters Butterfly.

His first World Championship gold medal came in 2001, but the big breakthrough year was 2003, when Phelps won four gold medals and two silver at the World Championships in Barcelona.

At Athens 2004, Phelps extended that to six gold medals and two bronze (swimwear manufacturers Speedo offered Phelps one million dollars if he won all eight medals – an offer which has stayed on the table for Beijing 2008).

Indeed a succession of lucrative sponsorship deals meant Phelps could no longer train as an amateur, so when Bowman moved to coach at the University of Michigan in 2004, Phelps followed too and trained at a local swimming club in Ann Arbor called Club Wolverine.

Phelps has vowed not to work under any other coach than Bowman. "I don't think I would be where I am today with any other coach. He's always on top of things. We've been through a lot."

He maintained his grip as the world's No. 1 swimmer by winning four gold and two silver at the 2005 World Championships and then six gold medals at the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

The bad news for Phelps's rivals is that he hasn't lost his thirst for more titles even holding the record of 8 Olympic gold medals won in a game.

"This is something we've been preparing for over the past four years. The hard work is paying off and it's starting to show."

McCormack won Ironman Australia in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Twice he has finished the Quelle Challenge Roth, an Iron-Distance triathlon in under 8 hours, a feat only 5 Triathlete
have completed. Finally In 2007 he won the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii after 6 attempts at the race coming as close as second, within 2 minutes of the winner, in 2006.
