What Goes Around Comes Around

A w:Waitress taking a breakfast order at Kahal...Image via Wikipedia

One day a man saw a old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes Benz and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan .

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be... Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.' Today I sent you this story, and I'm asking you to pass it on and pay it forward. Let this light shine.

What is your Personal Metaphor ?

zelf gemaakte foto De geul in Limburg in de bu...Image via Wikipedia
Do you have a personal metaphor?

I think I would like mine to be a " gently-flowing-brook ".

i am moving along all the time, not standing still or getting stuck in one place... it's also full of the sounds of a bubbling brook... the sounds of many waters is also the sounds of music.... i can meander along many by-ways... i enjoy the scenery... the meadows, the flowers, the trees, the buildings as i pass them by.... i can detour to many places of interests... i can finally join the ocean....flowing water is very calming and therapeutic as i hope to be a healing balm for other people's hurts....the brook is alive with living things within and enjoys all beauty and living things without...

I found this personal metaphor thing to be a very interesting exercise indeed. As it has help me to function in the ways I want myself to be.

Save the Sharks

Shark fin soupImage via Wikipedia

I have read from a review that if sharks are wiped off the face of earth, there will be a massive growth of small fishes that will eat away the plankton.

Plankton is precious and important as it takes in carbon dioxide and gives the world most of it's oxygen.

Apparently sharks are responsible for 5 human deaths each year. However drugs and road accidents cause more than 100,000 human deaths.

Our oceans are depleting at an alarming state. We need to create awareness of the facts that sharks are an important community in our oceans. Lets stop the cruelty of the shark's fins industry by not consuming shark's fin. Do your part to Save the Sharks

The power of a Collage

I been reading that successful people like to keep mental picture to remind themselves of their dreams and goals in their life. The key purpose of doing this is to have a constant reminder for ourselves

Do you know our subconscious mind cannot differential between false and reality. Therefore feeding our mind with positive information has a definite impact to ourselves, It will program our mind and body to move towards the direction we want to go.

Recently I made myself a collage after much hesitation (as it really takes up of lot of time, as I'm not artistically incline :P) and I can say I am very proud of myself after my project is completed. Now I can see my dreams and goals right in front of me everyday.

A collage is simply a picture of your thoughts capture on printed media. Having a collage tells your mind the message that you are serious about what you are thinking, as they are not drifting thoughts but dreams that you are working on.

In addition I will also like to link anyone who has a collage. What you have to do is to post your collage in your blog and I will put your blogpost link here. Drop me a mail if you have a collage.

10 Keys to remember for being human

1.You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.

2.
You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."

3.There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."

4.Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5.Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
6."There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."

7.
Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8.What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9.
Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10.
You will forget all this.

My Unbelievable New year's Day Gift

IbanezImage via Wikipedia
I have not been playing the guitar for some years as I have given my guitar away. However, I have been thinking of buying a new guitar for a long time but I have not told anyone about this. As times has been really bad I decide put the thought aside and keep the money for better use.

To my biggest surprise on New Year's Day my dear friend gave me her Guitar. This guitar was bought 2 years back, the funny thing is my friend don't play the guitar at all. The very reason why my friend bought this guitar is because she feels it is too beautiful (See it for yourself) and I fully agree to it.

No words can describe the feeling when I receive this gift, I will say I fell in love with this beautiful piece of musical instrument immediately the moment it was presented to me. It's a Black Ibanez Semi Acoustic Guitar(AEG10E)

This is how the Guitar looks like

Looking back, I want to thank my friend for this special gift I felt so blessed, I will definitely cherish this gift and spend time playing or maybe writing some song with it. Hence to conclude this post, I will like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and may all Good Things be with you always.
